CareCentric and Mestek Announce Ambitious Investment Plan

Company devoting resources to both new and existing product lines

ATLANTA (November 20, 2007)— CareCentric Inc., and its parent company, Mestek Inc., a $400 million diversified company based in Westfield, Mass., have announced an ambitious investment plan focused on accelerating the growth and development of its Ac-Cura ® product line in the home health, HME and pharmacy/infusion market segments.

“The plan includes the capital and other resources required to position Ac-Cura as the premier multi-line of business application suite for the post-acute care market,” said Stewart B. Reed, who became CareCentric’s interim CEO following the announcement of John Festa’s resignation a week ago.

At the same time, Mestek and CareCentric are reaffirming their commitment to enhance and support all of CareCentric’s legacy product lines. “This will allow our customers—rather than us—to choose when, or even if, to upgrade,’’ said Reed. “These products continue to be a key part of CareCentric’s current and future plans, and will remain in the company’s product portfolio well into the next decade.”

Reed pointed out that Mestek’s long-term plan envisions CareCentric as the premier provider in post-acute care software and related services, including HME billing services through its Alternative Billing Solutions (ABS) billing services unit; comprehensive IT outsourcing and business process outsourcing for all its markets, including long-term care; and next-generation HME, home health and long-term care products and services.

“Mestek is a strong, well-capitalized company with a net worth in excess of $100 million that is fully prepared to support CareCentric’s ambitious product development plans and continued commitment to our valued Ac-Cura, legacy and services customers,” said Reed.

Headquartered in Atlanta, CareCentric delivers technology, business operation and IT outsourcing solutions to providers serving the entire post-acute care continuum—home health, private duty, hospice, home medical equipment, home pharmacy and long-term care. The company’s offerings include an array of business process, education and consulting services, along with its software packages. By addressing its customers’ total management and operational needs, CareCentric allows them to focus on care delivery—enabling both business and clinical success.
