CareCentric Releases Version 2.0 of Its Ac-Cura Home Health and POC Software
New release features redesigned scheduling application
ATLANTA (September 24, 2007)—CareCentric® Inc., the leading provider of technology, business-operation and outsourcing solutions for the post-acute care industry—home health, hospice, private duty, home medical equipment and long-term care—has announced general availability of its 2.0 version of Ac-Cura® Home Health and Point of Care (POC).

Built on the Microsoft® .NET platform, Ac-Cura is an integral part of a total CareCentric solution that includes long-proven, industry-leading financial and clinical software; information technology outsourcing services such as application hosting, telecommunication management, backup, disaster recovery and help desk; business process outsourcing of all back-office administrative functions; and a full range of educational and consulting services.
The 2.0 release features enhanced functionality for intake, scheduling, clinical and billing. In particular, the scheduling capability has been completely redesigned with a new dashboard screen, visual indicators, and the ability to manage appointments and schedules in a variety of ways. Clinical functionality includes care plans; OCS validation rules; and medication alerts, list maintenance and education sheets.
CareCentric is working on future releases of its Ac-Cura software with input from advisory boards comprised of key customers who represent a variety of operational and management needs. Another version of the home health software will be released later this year that will include further enhancements and will incorporate new requirements for refinements to the prospective payment system (PPS).
