CareCentric Offers Customers More Choice for Claim Denial Management

Company signs agreements with two industry-leading companies

ATLANTA (August 2, 2007)—CareCentric ® Inc., a provider of technology, business-operation and outsourcing solutions for the post-acute care industry—h ome health, home medical equipment and long-term care—has signed two new partner agreements with companies offering claim denial management capabilities: Connectyx Technologies Corp. for MRN Manager, and RemitDATA for Reimbursement PRO . As a part of the agreements, CareCentric has facilitated the exchange of data to their software applications.

“We intend to provide greater choice to our customers for third-party capabilities,” said Ralph Capasso, vice president of sales, marketing and business services. “Both of these companies are well-respected in the industry. We would rather our customers decide which company does the best job for them than dictate who they have to do business with.”

Capasso pointed out that claim denial management is one of several areas where customers can realize an immediate return on their investment. By automating the denial process, providers can reduce the labor needed to resubmit claims, speed the resubmission process, and improve their overall claim submission and denial ratio. Denial management solutions reduce document handling time, eliminate error and rework, generate the necessary forms, and provide versatile reporting functionality.

To make it easier for customers to integrate their core CareCentric billing and clinical applications with the vendor they choose, CareCentric is working with Connectyx and RemitDATA to facilitate data exchange between their products and its existing MestaMed® and DME VI home medical equipment applications, as well as for its Microsoft ® .NET-based Ac-Cura® software.
