2006
CareCentric completes its acquisition of UltraBridge in early 2006, extending its reach into the long-term care market, and enhancing its information technology and business process outsourcing capabilities for its entire customer base.
In September, CareCentric acquires Alternative Billing Solutions, Inc. Founded and led by Nancy Burma, ABS is one of the HME industry’s most prominent billing services companies.
Expanding its home health business services, in October CareCentric enters a partnership with Universal Healthcare Services Associates, Inc., (UHSA) to provide a full range of consulting and management services.
2005
CareCentric introduces Ac-Cura® HME, and moves to build the services side of its business with its acquisition of Jane’s Billing & Consulting Services, headed by HME industry expert Jane Bunch.
2004
CareCentric premieres its new Microsoft .NET-based software—Ac-Cura®—for home health agencies, and broadens its vision to offer technology, business operations and outsourcing solutions for home care providers.
2001
The CareCentric name was adopted to culminate the merger between Simione and MCS, and to reflect our unique position and differentiation as the largest information systems vendor dedicated solely to the home care market. In October 2001, Simione Consulting establishes an independent consulting operation, and CareCentric becomes fully focused on information systems.
2000
Simione Consulting and MCS (MestaMed®) merge. MCS is a well-known HME systems vendor offering integrated systems for the multi-discipline home health user. Formerly a wholly owned subsidiary of Mestek, Inc., the company developed its first software application in 1975.
1997
Simione Central acquires Dezine Healthcare Solutions, a leading HME systems vendor for small to mid-size HME providers.
1996
Info Med merges with Simione Consulting to form Simione Central Holdings. InfoMed is a leading HHA systems vendor of the first truly "integrated" home health system for the multi-site HHA. InfoMed was founded in 1969. |
